Happy Thursday, loves! This week has been going by so fast--well, faster than normal. Which is interesting because it usually goes by painfully slow when I'm looking forward to something...in this case it's a weekend getaway! (Follow along Instagram to see where I'm headed!) Not to worry, a little "packing guide" for fall is in the works for all of you. 

But anyway, I had a very enlightening chat very recently with an old friend of mine over some amazing coffee at one of my favorite neighborhood coffee shops. Of course, I couldn't wait to share it all, the coffee and our conversation of interest. I'm usually not one for lifestyle/advice posts, but I think it's a good start for me to try something new and branch out these days.

So, first of all, the amazing coffee shop in question is a pretty famous cafe and popular stop in Greenwich Village--Stumptown Coffee Roasters! Whenever I'm in need of a desperate catch-up session with a friend, or a nice cozy space to work/blog, Stumptown is pretty high on my list of go-to places. The atmosphere is warm and there's always that nice aroma of roasting coffee in the air. What better way to get those creative juices flowing? I'm one of those people who loves natural light and I always find myself more productive in a natural setting. Best part? There's even outdoor seating! So on those warmer days, chatting over lattes in the streets of New York has got to be one of my favorite past times!

Happy Monday, loves! Finally getting the chance to do some of my fall picks for you guys! I'm on the hunt these days to create the perfect classic wardrobe to last me through the next chapter in my life, and what better way than to start with some classic fall pieces! The "Chelsea Boot" is definitely a staple footwear piece for autumn. I've been seeing different versions of these boots everywhere and I thought I would give you guys my top picks and favorites of this boot so you can navigate through all the different designs. I have to say, I prefer the flat version of the Chelsea Boot more than any of the high-heeled versions I've seen, since I always feel like this boot leans more on the casual side and is meant for daily wear. 

Happy Sunday, loves! Glad to be back and focused on the blog again after these past couple of weeks dealing with midterms. Nostalgic that it's my last semester ever--but exams and papers are definitely not going to be missed! 

Happy Monday, loves! Transitioning into this colder weather isn't so bad when you've got the right wardrobe. I'm still suffering from some summer withdrawal here and I can't believe the weather got so cold so fast!  

But anyway, I'm transitioning into the colder months with one of my favorite pieces--the boyfriend blazer! So happy that this particular one is made of wool material, keeping me warm during those brisk fall mornings.

This wool boyfriend blazer is one of the most versatile pieces I own for fall. It's great for those warmer days over a dress or a skirt, and perfect for the office with a pair of pleated trousers! Love the oversized design of the piece, giving it a more casual vibe to offset the structured look.

Happy Sunday, loves! It's the long weekend, and I'm really feeling fall back here at home. The leaves are just starting to change and all these autumn hues have me craving spiced apple cider and some pumpkin pie! The leaves haven't really started to turn yet in the city, so it's really nice to see some color on the trees here in my hometown. I guess the city just has some catching up to do!

Speaking of colorful tree leaves...this blanket scarf reminds me of just that! I wasn't completely convinced when I first saw this scarf...especially since the color block pattern isn't usually my kind of style. But when I actually tried it on, I knew there wasn't another scarf that could capture the essence of fall better than this one did! The color blocking of the dark navy and burnt orange and olive green reminds me of all those warm hues the leaves turn as they change color.  

Spicing this look up with a little fringe detail! Can't say that I'm the biggest fan of the fringe trend going on right now and was surprised when I found myself loving this fringe boho bag. I think it might have something to do with the tassel detail in the center--plus the fact that it's so easy to sling on a casual fall outfit!

Have you gotten used to how I look wearing a hat? Cause I'm still kind of adjusting, haha. I swear, this is the only hat that I've ever tried on that doesn't make me look too weird. I've been eyeing some rag & bone fedoras, but those are a bit pricey and way too much to spend on a fedora, in my opinion. So I'm loving this suede option--still looks chic, AND didn't break my wallet! :) 

Anyone else also pulling out those over-the-knee boots? Easy to pair and super warm, these boots are always my go-to in the fall. In fact, you'll probably never see me without them on! I've got already 3 pairs in different colors, and I can't wait to wear them all out!

Happy Friday, loves! This bi-polar weather has been killing me lately! Now that I've moved into a little studio in Greenwich Village with my roommate, I definitely do not have the closet space for two seasons of clothing. My trick for the crazy weather? Layering! You must be thinking, well DUH--that's what fall is all about. But I'm not talking about layering sweaters and coats and scarves, cause that is just wayyy too hot for the temps right now...despite it being October. Weird, right? 

But anyway, my trick is to layer more lightweight pieces together! With the temperature in the low 60s in the morning, and then up to 70s in the afternoon, it can be really difficult to put together a look that's wearable all day long. So, I like to put together some lightweight piece--such as this striped short-sleeve tee and sleeveless trench to make sure that I won't be freezing during the morning hours or dying of heat later in the day!

Since it still gets pretty chilly during the fall mornings, I like to cover up with a pair of staple jeans. My go-to at the moment are these dark wash skinny jeans--so easy to just throw on and matches with absolutely everything! Pair with your basic pumps and you've got the perfect casual date look for brunch or the movies! 

For a more elevated vibe, I suggest accessorizing with an investment piece--in my case, it's the Chloë Drew saddle crossbody. I've been adding this little fur keychain to it lately, since it gives it that extra unique touch...plus I'm obsessed with furball keychains right now, if you couldn't tell. ;)
