Happy weekend, loves! Hope you've all enjoyed yourselves and took it easy today--I know I definitely have. From happy hour to brunch to window shopping, I feel as though I've had so many festivities planned the last couple of days...so, spending a day all to myself is exactly what I needed.

Besides, the weather outside is so deceiving right now! It'll look 70 degrees and sunny, but when I actually ventured outside (for about all of 5 minutes), wind chill was 30 degrees and I was pretty much getting blown away walking down the block. Getting a bit upset that the weather still requires wool outerwear now that it's officially April.

So as of late, I've pretty much been living in my spring cashmere. I've finally packed away all the heavy cable knit sweaters, but I'm still keeping around some of the thinner and more versatile cashmere pieces to get me through this chilly spring. A new little addition to the collection--this ombré Hector & Lola piece! Their featherweight cashmere is exactly as it sounds, while still keeping you warm and cozy!

Seriously loving how the ombré pairs with a nice pair of distressed skinny jeans and a light duster jacket. For those windier days, I'll definitely have the duster on for extra warmth and protection, but otherwise, this sweater is the perfect piece for a casual weekend look this spring!

Happy Tuesday, loves! Moonlighting as an undergrad student yet again, but switching my "campus" from NYC to D.C.! So, confession--four years ago, when I was applying for colleges, Georgetown was actually my dream school. I wanted to study politics, become a lawyer...I blame it on wayyyy too much TV (Suits mostly). >.<

So here I am, fulfilling my undergrad fantasies...imagining what it would've been like if I had actually gone to Georgetown instead of NYU. Having Copley Square as my hunting ground instead of Washington Square Park...

 But as fate would have it (and I'm a big believer of fate)--I was not accepted to Georgetown, so I chose the next best option instead. And it was probably the best decision I've made my entire life.

To be honest, if I hadn't gone to school in the city, I would have never discovered fashion blogging, ever. And that completely astounds me because I couldn't imagine living without this passion, without the friendships I've made along the way, without interacting with all of you!

I love being able to do something creative and put different pieces together in new ways, offering a fresh perspective on old wardrobe favorites...and most of all, sharing that with all of you. I know that with the transition to a 9-5 corporate job, it's going to be tougher to be motivated to shoot and get new content published, but you are my motivation and the reason why I continue this hobby, along with the hope of sparking new ideas and inspirations for self expression.

I promise that if you stick with me, I will continue to stick with you. On a lighter note, super excited that spring is finally in full gear and I'm bringing out those lighter pieces in my wardrobe once again! Stay tuned for a full travel diary recap of D.C., coming soon!
