#NYFW: Olive Monochrome

Happy Thursday, loves! With fashion month winding down now, I wanted to share a final look from NYFW this season with all of you! I've been seeing olive everywhere this winter, and thought...why not style an olive monochrome look? This oversized peacoat is definitely one of my trendiest purchases this winter and I am absolutely loving it! Whenever I'm looking to dress up a more casual look, I just throw on this statement coat and am ready to go!

The first rule to styling monochrome? Mix your textures! Since you're only going to be featuring one color in the look, you'll want to make sure there is a differentiating factor between all of the pieces to keep it interesting. The leather pants and the velvet hem detailing of the coat in this look make for a great contrast between the two pieces and really helps them stand out.

Keeping the accessories and shoes simple, I thought a gray pairing would be a great neutral tone to polish up and finish the look. The pebbled leather of the clutch and wool material of the fedora also add to the different textures already present. I can't say that I wear just one color often (unless it's black haha), but I really enjoyed creating this particular outfit for the last of the fashion week activities. Stay tuned for a full recap of all the events, shows, and presentations...coming soon with video!

With Much Love,
