Now, if you're anything like me, you don't feel grounded until you've made that grocery list or confirmed all the events on your Google Calendar for the next week. There's just something so satisfying about tying up loose ends that also makes you feel like you've been super productive. I'm an avid user of personal agendas, to the point where I can go through previous planners almost as though they were diaries. Super excited about getting to try out the newly relaunched Erin Condren 2018 LifePlanner™ and sharing my top 3 tips to a more organized life below!
1. Get It On Paper!
I always feel so much better once I've actually written down my to-do list or checklist of reminders. There's just something about actually writing something down, be it a goal or a date, that makes it that much more concrete. It makes you accountable for actually following through with your plans instead of maybe just thinking, "oh, did I mean to do that today?" And, I don't just mean writing it down on a bunch of post-it notes and having them all cluttered on your desk, cause that's just even more stressful to look at. Take the time to organize your thoughts, compile that list and eliminate the nagging feeling that you're forgetting something.

2. Get Your Priorities Straight!
Honestly, I think this is one of the biggest lessons I've learned since graduating college. There are only really 24 hours in a day and let's face it, we spend a third of it asleep, and another third at work (if you work a "9 to 5" like I do). So really, we only have 8 hours in a day that we can really call our own. Figure out what's the most important and get it done. Too often, we underestimate the amount we can accomplish in just one day that can bring us closer to where we want to be. Instead of "going with the flow," set daily or weekly objectives so that you can see your progress throughout the week, and then throughout the month. Prioritizing is effortless with the new design of the LifePlanner™! I personally love the "vertical" layout of the week so that I can separate my priorities between the morning, afternoon and evening. There's also an empty column on the side that's perfect for jotting down weekly goals & plans.

3. Have FUN With It!
Now, being "Type A" makes all of this getting organized stuff second nature and fun for me already. But for those of you who don't exactly like to buckle down and would rather see where the day takes you, use cute stationary, stickers & colored pens to make it more fun! Now, what am I, five years old? Why yes, yes I am. I'm telling you though, I think the stickers may have actually been the best part. xP Oh and did I mention the motivational quotes that are in the LifePlanner™at the start of every month? They help inspire and remind us that we can be our own #girlboss. All it takes is a little courage and a LOT of planning. ;D
