Happy Friday, loves. Living out my fairytale fantasies in this stunning Adrianna Papell dress last weekend. I've realized that as you get older, there aren't as many chances to get all dressed up...so now's the time to take full advantage of all the proms and formals and make each and every memory count.

When it comes to dress shopping for me, it's kind of a "love at first sight" kind of deal. I didn't find the "right" dress for my high school prom until a month before. This time though, it didn't take nearly as long. I knew that for my senior formal, I wanted a dress that was elegant, magical...and the moment I saw this dress in my search results, I knew I had found "the one."

Shooting at the New York Public Library was an absolute dream...the grandiose marble architecture as the background to this ethereal sequined gown made it seem even more editorial than I could've imagined. Needless to say, this is probably one of my favorite shoots to date and I hope this inspires you on your hunt for that perfect special occasion dress.

Because we're all living in our own fairytale lives.

Taking full advantage of the warm day, I chose a stunning sleeveless wine-red eyelet dress for the occasion. I've been pretty obsessed with lace and eyelet this past season, if you couldn't tell from my previous blog post ;D, and especially swooning over the ones designed by Alexis & Self Portrait. Can't say that these two brands are particularly easy on the wallet, so I was ecstatic to find a more affordable version of the eyelet trend in this particular dress! Needless to say, it was perfect for the occasion, and I'm excited to pull it out for special events in the future!

Despite the amazing aesthetics, decor and views, I have to say that I was not particularly impressed with the quality of food or the service at Mr. Purple. I mean, what else did I expect, right? It's a rooftop bar/lounge on top of a hotel. However, for the prices that you're paying, you'd be expecting a full service kind of experience, am I right? Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this venue for those of you looking to grab cocktails and a small bite to eat at happy hour! The space is absolutely stunning and perfect for catching up with a girlfriend or grabbing quick drinks on a date!

All in all...a truly blessed experience, surrounded by some the closest friends I've made over the past few years. I've picked up a couple life lessons during my time in NYC, but there's one that always rings true: life is sweeter when it is shared.
