Indian Summer

Happy Thursday, loves! Hope you're all liking the new template now after my official relaunch! Just a little reminder--as a way to say welcome and thank you, I'm still hosting a giveaway for you guys to win a pair of these gorgeous Halogen studded flats! So, check out my relaunch post for a chance to enter & win!

Now that the dust has settled (not for long cause NYFW is just around the corner!), I'm trying to get back into the hang of things. Since I've moved my blog to a different site, I was not able to carry over my previous posts for the relaunch. No worries though, cause they're still all available on my old blog platform Wordpress, which you can find here. I will definitely be taking autumn inspo from my previous blog and revise some of my more popular review posts and publish them here as well!

But anyway, enough of the logistics. Can I just take a moment and say how ridiculous this weather has been lately?! I cannot believe that it's September and we're in the middle of a heat wave in NYC! I'm really hoping the weather cools down before NYFW, otherwise I'll literally have nothing to wear to the shows cause all my clothes are for fall now! >.<
Attempting to keep it chic and cool in this "indian summer," this look was actual from quite some time ago, from when I was still on vacation in Taiwan. Well, the weather I experienced while in Taiwan is basically what it feels like here in NY right now, so I thought this was an appropriate look for the occasion.
Pairing weightless fabrics here in a sleeveless swing pleated top and silk dauphin shorts--I can't think of a more lightweight combination to help stay cool in this heat wave! Making this look just a bit more interesting with a marble printed crossover bag, which also happens to be on sale right now!
You have no idea how often I wear this bag out now. It's just the right size for all my essentials--wallet, student ID, phone, keys & sunglasses. Besides, the marble print immediately adds a sophisticated and chic allure to anything I pair with it! Pretty much the MVP of all my handbags right now.
When it comes to footwear, I am always reaching for these gladiator lace-up sandals during hot summer days. I love that there's a chunky heel, which makes it easier to walk all day in--plus the gladiator/lace-up design is super on-trend at the moment!
Definitely enjoyed the summer weather these past few months...but it's been a struggle to put together outfits suitable for 90 degree weather. Here's to hoping that fall is around the corner, so I can finally break out some of the transition pieces I've been dying to wear!
