#NYFW: Georgine SS16

Happy Tuesday, loves! A quick recap of the Georgine SS16 show for you guys today! It was truly an honor to be able to go to a show at the Skylight at Moynihan Station and be a part of the NYFW experience. My first time at the Georgine show, guest blogging for Louboutins & Love, and it was absolutely spectacular.

From the hustle and bustle and chaos of pre-show preparations, to the plastic unveiling of the runway (yes, they had plastic cover the runway and then removed it last minute), to the actual show itself...looking around and trying to spot the celebrities of the crowd and being completely awestruck by the collection--I'd say it was a true NYFW experience. The collection itself featured loose silhouettes accented by structured coats, floral lace embellishments, and bright pops of color, with a focus on the color block trend. What I wasn't expecting though, was the use of fur as embellishment--on shirt sleeves, pom pom scarves, and belt bags, hinting that maybe fur accessories are on its way back in. Head down to the video below for a full look at the Georgine SS16 collection!

Hope you enjoyed this little recap! Happy fashion week fashionistas,

  1. So while it's true that the people make an event (and the people definitely made any event!) this space definitely adds a different dimension to it. Went to the best dance club nyc for an evening event and I was really impressed.
