#NYFW: Moynihan Station

Happy Monday, loves! Such crazy and eventful days this past weekend, running from shows, to presentations to blogger parties...well, that's just the hustle and bustle of New York Fashion Week I guess! Taking a moment in between all the running around to just admire the architecture of the old Moynihan station.
So, I realized that fashion shows have all been moved from the Lincoln Center to various parts around the city. Most major designers are now showing their collections at the Skyline at Moynihan Station, while others have decided to go to Pier59 Studios and other various studios around the city. I guess I'll just have to wait and hope that my "Lincoln Center" experience for Fashion Week will be fulfilled another day.
Keeping it simple and chic in this gorgeous draped silk shirtdress! I definitely feel like my style is headed toward the motto of "less is more," especially with presentations such as the Jay Godfrey one from last week influencing me to go more minimal in my personal tastes.
But even with a more minimalistic mindset--you can't ignore the subtle details in a look! Really into bralettes at the moment, especially ones that have that extra detail in their design. I've found them to be really useful when wearing draped pieces, be it tops or dresses!
Details in accessories are probably the most important of all. Instantly fell in love when I found these booties and saw the gold hardware and structured chunky heel design! I've been wearing them just about everywhere this fashion week since they're so chic and easy to walk in! Whoever said you had to sacrifice function for fashion?!
Adding in this little felt fedora, for a little coverage from the drizzle. I'm not usually one for headwear, but this hat really worked and was also not super over priced like the rag n bone ones I've been eyeing since forever. Sooooo, took a little step out of my comfort zone and went with it!
Well, we're headed off to the LuLu*s Style Studio party--will be posting very soon about the event so stay tuned! Happy fashion week fashionistas,
